What brand of dog food is best?

I have a just turned two years old, bred Labrador Retriever and I'm trying to figure out what type of food to feed him. I started him on Eukanuba, but he seemed well. So I recently switched to IAMS, but does not seem to like that. My veterinarian told me recently that is lightweight, weighing about 62 pounds, but should be closer to 70 + lbs. He said to try it again feed puppies or switch to a brand that has an "active" foods. Nutro is good I hear and I know they have a "high energy" type of food, but what about Science Diet? I do not want to eat anything like Kibbles and Bits, "I want healthy, good food for him. Any suggestions? Thank you.
