Is it normal for my Golden Retriever 4 months old to have short hair?
I have a female AKC registered Golden Retriever who is 4 months old. Her hair looks more like a laboratory. Is it possible that it is a mixture? Does it take some time to grow their hair out? His hair is a slightly longer (but not much) on his chest and back of his legs.
Some Male Golden never full plumage than males do! It is still very young and still has his puppy fur. I would not be looking for her to get her feathers as she is very close to 12 months of age, if it draws much of everything. She may be just the genetic makeup does not have full beautiful feathers. What is her mum and dad look like?? Who will give you a hint of what may look like his feathers when she is older too.
