Recommendation for Golden Retriever dog food?

Hello, we have a puppy of 6 months who is currently eating IAMS puppy food. The veterinarian has recommended that we move her to dog food. Are there any foods that anyone would recommend to help prevent hip dysplasia? Thank you!

I would recommend a food that has glucosamine and chondroitin in it. Nutro Natural Choice Adult Large Breed has glucosamine and chondroitin – last I check a 40 # bag for $ 34 at PetSmart. I believe that large breed adult ProPlan also has glucosamine and chondroitin in it, but I'm not 100% sure. Science Diet also is good, but again if you do not SRE has glucosamine and chondroitin. Alternatively, you could feed any GOOG-quality adult food – Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, Nutro, etc. and use an independent glucosaine supplement chondroitin jpint as Curaflex (ask a veterinarian if the carry one – and take Curaflex and Cosequin). You can also find joint supplements in the pet store – many of many types, choose a brand you're comfortable with if you decide to go that route. It is never too early to start a complement joints, especially for breeds that tend to have problems jont (mostly large breeds and smaller breeds – the medium seem to have many problems). One other option is to go on prescription food that is specially formulated for the joints – like Purina JM. VHA thesis foods to reach a veterinarian. If you ant to go this route, discuss this with your veterinarian – not suitable for every dog, therefore, the statute of limitations.
